Kent has managed capital for third parties in the global public equity markets for more than two decades.  He founded KP7 Investors LLC in 2021 where he now serves as CEO and Chief Investment Officer.  Prior to founding KP7, Kent spent 12 years with the Davis Selected Advisors, serving as equity analyst, portfolio manager, and partner.  While at Davis, Kent also served as the Director of Equity Research from 2014 to 2021.  Kent’s asset management experience includes managing Regent Street Fund I at Regent Street Capital where his fund generated returns exceeding the S&P 500 by 569 basis points annually over 8 consecutive years.  The investment strategies Kent employed at Regent Street Capital, at the Davis Advisors, and now at KP7 are virtually identical. 

Prior to entering the asset management industry in 2000, Kent spent 12 years with Amoco Corporation and British Petroleum, holding various financial and general management positions of increasing responsibility. Kent earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Dartmouth College in 1981, a Master of Science degree from Miami University in 1987, and an MBA from the Amos Tuck Business School at Dartmouth College in 1989. 

Kent has six grown children and lives with his wife in Riverside, Connecticut.
